bookies

i am currently reading p.s. i love you, and before that i was reading my sister's keeper. both these books are incredible and i recommend them for sure. i need to watch my sister's keeper now. i made myself read it before watching it because i know from experience that when i watch a movie based on a book, when i finally read the book i barely enjoy it because the movie was so different and already painted a whole visual for me already, a visual that my mind has a hard time putting aside while reading the story.

that's what happened with p.s. i love you. i watched the movie and loved it (it's my favorite romance film) so i bought the book and when i started reading it i didn't even like it. basically, i waited until now (about a year later) to read it so that the movie would be far away from my mind and i could appreciate the written story for what it is.

it's funny how when you read a book first and then watch the movie, you think the movie sucks in comparison, and vise versa.

but i have come to the conclusion that i indeed prefer reading then watching.

how about you?

p.s. lol @ this post's title. i didn't know what to call it so i created a new word. it's books and movies together.

i love that book. you should have told me, i would have lent it to you (ps. i love you)
anywho yes i totally agree, but i usually read the books before watching the movie hehe! so i don't know about watching the movie and then thinking the book sucks.
